The Pay: You will be paid between £58,000 - £68,000 + Bonus

Location: Central London

The company:
This is for a financial cloud-based company who manage payment systems globally. The business is looking to commercialise its data capability and is building a team to develop new consumer data insight propositions for retail customers.

You would want to work here if you: Have a real passion for consumer analytics and have been working either as a Data Scientist or a Lead Analyst in a commercial environment perhaps for a retailer, e-commerce or for a consultancy organisation.

You are ready to take the challenge where you can really make something your own with the opportunity to grow a team and to take on global projects for large retailer clients. You would like to take the lead in developing and testing data-driven products to take to market that will help customers make smarter, data-driven decisions by understanding their own consumer's behaviour better.

You use technology to your advantage, developing analytical tools, using statistical modelling and machine learning techniques to analyse consumer purchasing behaviours.

You think outside of the box and enjoy the challenge of really enriching data through controlled experiments and segmentation, a real aim would be to create predictable analysis.

You’re awesome at:
Using quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.Tracking data with SQL.Developing with R or Python.Keeping up to date with commercial awareness.Collaborating with business stakeholders to ensure data solutions support them to achieve their commercial potential. You have experience in: 
Developing industry-leading models that harness statistical and machine learning techniques to power data-led propositions.Creating complex data integrations with both internal and external data sources to create highly differentiated analytics solutions.Interacting with customers to communicate analysis, evaluate their needs and test potential new solutions.Project Management. Have experience in Hive / SparkWould like to move into a lead positionCome from a retail background  What you will be doing:
You will work closely with the Senior Analyst who will run meaningful reports for you as needed and will report directly to the Head of Insight who will help you to understand cooperate customer requirements.

You will research the latest commercial trends and will use machine learning technology to recognise consumer patterns. Your main aim is to create a new suite of analytical products which will aid you in enriching this data. You will notice business opportunities within retail clients and will work closely with decision makers to ‘productise’ data services, developing automated models which will create repeatable customer analyses.

Daily tasks will involve extracting and enriching data, delivering controlled experiments and creating strategic business solutions as well as recognise any potential commercial threats.

As the project grows, the team will grow and you will find yourself surrounded by a number of analysts to aid you. You will have a flexible start and finish time and have an hour for lunch.

Role Progression:
Your salary will rise as the function grows, however, progressions are either to move into more of an Insight Management position or to move into the internal data science function for the organisation.

The team:
You will work closely with the Insight Management and a Senior Insight Analyst. The company arrange quarterly team building and events.

Application process:
We will first discuss the company in more detail, you will then have a call set up with the insight manager. This will lead to a F2F interview and you will be asked to take a SQL and R development test online beforehand. The final interview would be with a company Director.
