We are looking for a contract CNC Programmer / Manufacturing Engineer to join our client who have offices in Dunfermline, Scotland.

The role will initially be for a six month contract and we have interview slots for the 28th and 29th of this month. Position Responsibilities:

* Preparation of CNC Programmes for planned processes

* Development of tool definition

* Production of set sheets and tooling plans

* Own the configuration of all supporting process elements including production routings, tooling, gauges, test equipment, work holding and CNC programmes

* Determine materials and tools needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals

* Analyse job orders, drawings, blueprints, specifications, and design data in order to determine the appropriate machine tool, workholding and cutter selection, machine speeds, and feed rate

Required Experience Minimum 4 years' experience in CNC programming. Client use Siemens NX8 & NX11 (experience with NX 3d modelling, turning, milling would be ideal)

* Machine shop Environment, ideally heavy engineering / O&G

* Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs and uses

* Experience with verifying programs ( using Vericut is a bonus)

* SVQ / HNC / Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

* 8 years+ in CAD/CAM
