Automation Tester

One of our top technology clients within the Oxfordshire area is seeking an Automation Tester to join their expanding team. This is an exciting and brand new role, in which you will establish the automation testing function within the business.

You will be required to assess the current testing function, and build their automation framework from scratch. You will have full autonomy over the technology used and best automation testing practice moving forward within the business.

Automation Tester duties will include, but not limited to:

*Assessing current business testing capabilities/framework

*Advise best approach/practice for the automation function

*Setting up automation testing frameworks

*Define the automation testing technology to be used moving forward

*Work alongside the development team, to ensure all new systems built are thorough testable

*Support the existing testing team whilst they learn the nuances of automation testing

*Champion automation testing best practice through the business

*Test user stories

*Refine acceptance criteria

As the Automation Tester you will be required to possess:

*Strong automation testing

*A proven track record within software testing

*SQL experience

*Experience with setting up an automation test function within an organisation would be beneficial

*A broad and in-depth knowledge of automation tools/technologies

*Experience with setting up testing strategies and processes

*Hold ISTQB certification
