The day to day responsibilities for this role will be to manage a team of technicians and be a technical specialist in the office and on site. The successful candidate will liaise with clients and oversee the entire process of introducing new parts to meet the customer's specifications.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to become a technical expert in a challenging industry and further progress their career.

The Role:

* Heavily involved in projects and be involved in New Product Introduction, Production and Planning

*Managing a team of 5 Technicians

*Attending client meetings and being the point of contact for technical enquiries

*Office based with the occasional travel to customer sites

The Person:

*Mechanical manufacturing background

*Experience with NPI, NPD, BOM OR APQP advantageous but not necessary

*Knowledge of hydraulic or assembly manufacturing to ideal but not needed

*Locally based to Sunderland
