My client based in Leicestershire are looking for a Risk Management and Enterprise Resilience Consultant on an initial 9 month contract.

You will be working in a busy department of which you will be joining to help the organisation in reviewing its enterprise resilience arrangements, including risk management, business continuity and crisis planning.

You will be

*Continuing to improve the culture and maturity of the companies approach to risk management. The aim is to further imbed risk management into the organisation recognising that not all areas or levels of the organisation are equally engaged.

*Improve the quality of actions and controls against risks. The current risks and controls are broad and enabling owners to contemplate whether they are sufficient and specific enough to mitigate the risks.

*Following on from drafting risk appetite statements to further define the approach to risk at the company. Continuing to improve these statements for discussion and approval through the committee structure.

*Review other key resource areas resilience arrangements to help inform other local plans. Key areas of focus would be Estates and third party organisations that provide critical services that failure of their service would impinge upon the companies performance.

*Improve the companies approach to business continuity plans for significant events. Including how these plans relate to local business continuity plans.

*Continue to test the major incident plan and approve the capability of the respective teams to respond by running

oOperational level exercises in response to an incident.

oTesting the communication lines between strategic, tactical and operational teams

*To test the major incident plan in relation to other service providers, including emergency services, local enterprise forums, and nearby businesses.

*Look for innovative and engaging ways to allow senior managers to engage effectively with crisis management, and to assess future requirements for training and development.

With proven Risk management experience, you must have conducted detailed IT resilience reviews for a variety of organisations in both the public and private sector.
