As a Microsoft Azure subject matter expert your expertise is the last point of call before Microsoft Premier Support escalation. You live for delivering hands-on IT support and infrastructure projects and are passionate about Azure IaaS and PaaS being the "Black Team Ninja" technical trouble-shooter for a Global Managed Services Operation.

You’ll be adept at leveraging brilliant technical colleagues around the organisation and working with ambitious clients. You are intellectually curious and thrive on problem solving in a highly visible and pivotal global role.

This role is the final frontier Tier 3 support for the entire Global Managed Services operation.

Working in the Advanced Operations team you get excited when supporting employees or clients utilizing your experience and knowledge gained from a deep infrastructure and broad Microsoft applications background.

Responsibilities:

+ Provide deep level 3 trouble-shooting expertise - 6-10 tickets per day across a varied customer base

+ Coordinate escalations to Microsoft Premier Support

+ Provide expert-level client facing onsite and/or remote support services with specialized skills in Azure IaaS and PaaS.

+ Provide strategic customer roadmaps to assist managed services customers to fully leverage cloud technology

+ Work with managed services functions to deliver on client roadmaps

+ Act as the escalation point for the Network Operation Center (NOC) (On call rota)

+ Point of escalation for the greater Managed Services Service Desks and Consulting Desks

+ Work with product team on process automation and optimization

+ Serve as a technical mentor to staff

+ Occasional travel customer locations

About You:

+ Hold Security Clearance or be able to pass Security Clearance

+ Hold or be studying for a current Microsoft Azure MCSE

+ Expert-level knowledge and experience in Azure IaaS and PaaS

+ Additional experience with Office 365, System Center, Log Analytics, Update Management strongly preferred

+ Expert-level experience with PowerShell

+ 3+ years of relevant professional experience in a similar role

+ Holds (& maintains) MCITP, MCTS, MCM, MCSA, MCSE or other certifications

+ Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent years of professional experience

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to concisely and effectively address questions while providing subject matter expertise

+ Ability to successfully manage under pressure and respond to critical or changing priorities throughout the day

+ Ability to explain complex technical solutions to technical and non-technical audiences, and to connect technological solutions with measurable business value

+ Demonstrates ability to develop innovative technical approaches as complete solutions to business problems

+ Demonstrates exceptional listening, verbal and written communication, and presentation skills

+ Ability to consider?solution impact and long-term effects of decisions/solutions

+ Success-driven, works well in a diverse team, and enjoys a dynamic environment

+ Must reside in the metropolitan areas around London

Advanced Operations SMEs must have general knowledge across all the technologies and expertise in at least two to three of:

+ Advanced Azure IAAS and PaaS management & administration

+ Enterprise infrastructure environments - Active Directory and Systems Management concepts

+ PowerShell

+ Office 365
