Software Developer - Javascript, SQL | c£48K - Industry-Leading Hotel Management Software.

Up to £48,000 per annum, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, casual dress code, flexible hours

++ We are looking for an experienced Software Developer to help for a ground-up rebuild of our industry-leading hotel management software.

We are looking for great all-round developers who know how to build great software, so we will consider applicants that don’t already have experience in the "desirables" list if you want to work with those technologies and can show your ability to pick things up quickly.

Software Developer Essential Experience and Qualities

+ Experience translating complex business requirements into advanced application functionality

+ A solid grasp of good coding practices and pride taken in producing quality, robust work

+ Able to adapt to best practices and coding standards

+ Capable of researching and assessing technical solutions for yourself

Essential Technologies@

+ Typescript or excellent knowledge of Javascript ES6 and another language that is statically typed (e.g. C#, Java, Ruby or Python)

+ Solid experience working with SQL Databases (we use postgres) way beyond simple CRUD operations

Desirables:

+ React JS, Redux, CSS, Bootstrap, responsive web design

+ Node JS, NPM and webpack

+ git

+ AWS or another cloud provider

+ Experience building web systems that are highly available

+ Experience seeing software through from conception to delivery, including deployment and maintenance of real-world systems

+ Awareness of security best practices for web applications

+ Linux

You may have worked in the following capacities:

Midweight Software Developer, Full Stack Developer, Javascript Developer, SQL Developer, Front End / Back End Developer, Software Engineer.
