Data Technical Product Manager - London - 6 Months

Data Technical Product Manager required to join an international global online travel company based in London on a 6 month contract.

Purpose of the role: You will be working responsible for defining, shaping and driving data projects for the client's suite of data products with internal and external partners throughout the business.

Key Skills:

* Experience as product owner in a data focused environment

* Experience conducting analysis across large data sets as a business analyst

* Experience of working with digital analytics tools and data

* Practical day to day Agile product owner experience

* Advanced SQL experience

Technical and practical experience in environments with the following technologies:

* Cloud based data technologies together with experience of Qubole, Hadoop and other analytical platforms

* Applied knowledge of log data or clickstream data from Web Analytics tools (Adobe, Google and/or others) highly preferable

* Bachelor's Degree (fields of Statistics, Mathematics, Economics and Business or Computer Science are preferred)

Role responsibilities:

Support the design and delivery of solutions that facilitate advanced data analysis by analysts, business users and third party partners, through:

* Building a deep understanding of the needs of internal and external users of the data products - advising on and guiding solutions to meet their needs

* Generating a deep knowledge of existing data and tool capabilities across the organisation - for efficient solution design

* Gathering and writing clear, accurate functional and technical requirements

* Working closely with developers to convey your requirements, own the priorities and be available for questions and support

* Communicating roadmap, status updates and deliveries to partners across the business and externally

* Delivering user documentation, leading user training and provide ongoing support for your suite of data products

* Taking Data Quality to heart - steering bug investigations, root cause analysis, and being responsible for resolution
