Senior .SQL Developer - Financial Trading Systems c.£70,000 basic salary

As a preferred and trusted PSL recruitment partner to this market leading investment brokerage group, we have been asked to assist in the recruitment of a Senior SQL Developer to design, develop, evaluate and analyse client systems with the aim of creating financial trading solutions. This is a project heavy role and therefore a strong understanding of business requirements and project technical specifications are a necessity.

This role will require a strong understanding of some financial regulatory standards such as MIFID, EMIR, CASS or FACTA and therefore a good product understanding of Exchange Trade Derivatives, Commodities, Equities, Fixed Income and FX would be greatly advantageous.

Technical Key skills:

Solution design and development experience with - SQL / T-SQL / SQL Server

Development stack experience with - .NET, C#, Visual Studio, IIS, SQL Server, T-SQL

Scripting with Ruby or Python

Systems evaluation

Advising of business requirements and technical specifications

Producing and executing test plans and scripts

Documenting technical specifications and designs

Automation build and deployment - TeamCity / Octopus

Agile - Project planning using JIRA

Complying with Project budgets and time scales

Senior Stakeholder management

Industry Knowledge:

Trade reporting and transaction reporting - MIFID, CASS, EMIR, FACTA

Trade life cycle - execution, clearing and settlements

Product knowledge - Exchange Traded Derivatives, Commodities, Equities, Fixed Income and FX ( Foreign Exchange )

Front Office platforms - Fidessa/TT/CQG, Exchange drop copies, At eo Lisa and the FIS/Sungard GMI
