Senior Data Analyst (SAP ERP) - Maidenhead - 6 Months

Senior Data Analyst (SAP ERP) required to join a multinational information technology company based in Maidenhead on a 6-month contract.

Role and Responsibility

* Create data based on well-defined business rules

* Assemble data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.

* Triage data errors. Work with business to revise, verify, and validate business rules.

* Work as business liaison between business users and relevant IT team members.

* Assist with test strategy, identifying test scenarios and scripts from business users

* Review submitted data to detect accuracy problems, anomalies and work to correct/block data

* Troubleshooting Material Master, Vendor Master and Finance creation, extension and changes in SAP and reconciliation and archiving of data requests

* Support Finance closure periods month, quarter and year end

* Applications - Winshuttle, SAP, SQL, Excel (SAP ABAP), workflow (Custom Top Cat and SAP Standard)

* Workflow task monitoring, execution and manual request processing

* Topcat (SAP) for MM workflow

* PIR (SAP) workflow

* Finance (SAP) workflow

* Vendor created directly in SAP (no workflow) via e-mailed request form.

* Homegrown database

* All finance activities come in through an Inbox and logged in an Access database.

* Generating reports for business analysis - using available SAP transactions such as SQVI

* Operational Daily Request Management and traceability for SLA/KPIs monitoring

* Document any changes and update to Finance, Vendor Master Service Catalogue or related business process and Maintain Master Data Training pack (WI, KT, SOP.etc)

Experience and Qualifications

* A minimum of 2-3 year's overall experience as a Business Data Analyst or Data Engineer

* Strong analytic skills related to working with structured datasets.

* Experience working with ERP data. SAP and/or JDE preferred

* Experience with relational SQL and ERP databases

* Ability to solve problems and apply logical thinking for accuracy, quality and peer reviews

* Effective communicator with good speaking and writing skills

* Experience in developing formulas and plans using MS Excel

* Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
