We require an Infrastructure project Lead / Infrastructure Technical lead working on a partner selection project for a market leading organisation based in Bradford.

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Day Rate: £450 - £550

We require an infrastructure Technical lead to help lead and implement a commercial framework around IT infrastructure.

You will have an extensive background in infrastructure as well as strong commercial background and exposure to working with 3rd party vendors / suppliers.

You will have worked through a vendor selection process and made key decisions in the selection of partners vendors.

As the infrastructure technical lead / Infrastructure project Lead you will be crucial in leading the project while working with a Project Manager, business analyst and various technical SME's.

The key focus areas for this project are:

*A well defined approached to market to engage suppliers

*Clear and concise documentation

*A clear defined selection process and transition for vendor selection and on boarding

*Creating the overall framework which will include the management of the external partners.

As an infrastructure technical / project lead you will be involved in selecting partners in the following areas.

*Hardware

*Software

*Licensing

*Infrastructure consultancy - advice, guidance, best-practice, analysis and insight

*Cloud infrastructure

*On-premise infrastructure

*Warranty and support

*Support service wraps

Role responsibilities

*You will take the lead in defining and planning the approach for market engagement

*Through all phases, you will collaborate closely with the procurement teams, architects and senior IT stakeholders

*You will collaborate closely with candidate partners, to bring market best-practice (as relevant) into the picture of needs and requirements

*Responsibility for producing structured, clear, concise documentation of needs and requirements

*You will lead the vendor selection exercise in partnership with the procurement team by planning and facilitating workshops with vendors and selection teams

*You will lead the documentation of the internal framework (most likely pulling some of it together personally, and orchestrating others to contribute with supplementary documentation and deliverables)
