Senior IT Security Officer - IT and Information Security - to 55k+package

A key position for an established IT Security Professional, looking to join a growing and dynamic team based in Manchester.

You will work within the project teams to manage the security elements of strategic project teams to achieve goals

Responsibilities Include

* Deliver assinged Security Projects to budget and time requirements

* Liaise with architecture teams to maintain consistency across group strategy and governance across company systems

* Analysis, Management and deployment of Data Leak Prevention tools and services

* Investigate new threats to the business and propose solutions to these threats.

* Act as SME to the business for Security requirements as necessary

* Review and provide input to Information Security policy exceptions

* Ensure policies are met and maintained throughout the organisation

Requirements

* 3 years' experience in an IT Security, technical or advisory role

* Awareness of legal, technical and assurance principles as they relate to Information Security

* The ability to effectively gather, analyse and communicate, both verbally and in writing across the internal stakeholder and third party communities

* Experience of governance and conformance related to ISO standards 27001 & 22301

* Competence in Information Security related matters

* Educated in a subject with preferably an IT, analytical or commercial focus.

* Good experience of providing independent assurance on the deployment of secure solutions

Desirable Skills

* Recognised Security Qualification - CISSP, CISM, etc.

* Experience in Consultancy/Advisory role

* Knowledge/Experience of more than one of the following areas - Big Data, Cloud Security, Coding and Scripting, Architecture, Networking.
