Product Manager- Retail Technology- Hertfordshire- £65k

We are recruiting for a Product Manager- retail technology to join this leading organisation specialising in technology to the retail sector. The Product Manager will be responsible for creating Products that help us understand how we shop. Providing data insights that ensure stores are always stocked and supply chain always effective in supplying the best experience for customers.

Going through a period of modernisation and transition this is a really exciting opportunity for a Product Manager to come on board and assist with the future direction of a range of products that will help re-shape the business whilst taking responsibility for managing and mentoring less experienced Product Managers. The Product Manager must have experience in delivering digital products to the retail sector or working with the retail sector

Responsibilities of Product Manager-Retail Technology:

* Understand the current retail landscape and create technology that will improve customers relationships with stores both online and in physical shops.

* Take ownership of full lifecycle of Product delivery, managing products from inception stage through to delivery.

* Work very closely with senior stakeholders, understanding issues with products within the business and creating product plans that the junior product managers can implement.

* Organise your team effectively, assigning them to parts of the product which best fits skill set and rotating to ensure skill sets and grow.

* Set clear and achievable KPI's and take on board feedback as to how these can be improved.

* Understand conflicting priorities and how to best deal with the strategy so solve these issues.

* Build a successful product team with a collaborative working culture.

* Always work to ensure your team are successful in their roles and fulfilling potential.

* Accurately present data, understanding the importance of effective data visualisation.

* Work closely with the development team to ensure the success of new releases and upgrades.

Skill set and background required for the Product Manager- Retail Technology

* Strong experience as a Product Manager with retail Products

* Have experience in capacity planning forecasting and understanding future needs for team growth and hiring.

* Be able to demonstrate effective stakeholder management and taking the lead in working with stakeholders than can benefit your team and its vision.

* Excellent understanding of Product Management principals and methodologies and always ensuring best practice in the set up of your team.

* Be able to effectively manage product backlog, roadmaps and using data to drive decision making.

* Experience managing staff appraisals and creating reward structures.

* Be a fair team leader, understanding the skill set of your team and get the most out of your team.

The Product Manager- retail technology role will pay a salary in the region of £55,000-£65,000 depending on experience and skill set. Candidates will need experience working with a retailer delivering digital products or working for a business that supplies tech to retail businesses.
