Our client a leading FinTech provider to the Wealth industry seeks an SQL Systems Analyst The Role
An exciting opportunity presents itself for an experienced SQL Systems Analyst to join our dynamic EMEA Retail Wealth Product team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical services to product development, customer support and client projects through in-depth knowledge of the GBST applications, code development, system design, operating system design and software applications.

The SQL Systems Analyst must possess the following criteria:
Essential
Very good development experience in high volume transactional application using Java and RDBMS ( SQL Server is preferred)
Proven support experience of SQL based performance improvement in complex and high volume transactional application
Experience in Object Oriented design using Java and SQL
Experience in design methodologies (UML, Component Design Tools, etc.) and in TDD environment.
Very good knowledge of SQL performance tuning and optimisation techniques using Sybase 15.0 or SQL server 2012/2014
Working knowledge of ORM tools such as hibernate
Knowledge ANSI SQL and writing complex Stored Procedures using SQL Server
Data model design experience for performance
Unix Shell Scripting skills
Working knowledge of Linux
In depth relational data model knowledge
Experience in UNIX & Windows Server.
Experience in the following:
Writing technical designs
Writing functional designs
A sound knowledge of the product as it relates to the client’s requirements
Business process re-engineering
Superior listening, oral and written communication skills
Strong technical and analytical skills
Ability to communicate ideas, solutions and problems with others
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to learn and understand new concepts
Logical and analytical problem-solving skills
Attention to detail
Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
Desirable
Java, JEE and Javascript based web application development and support experience
Knowledge of Application servers such as Jboss/Websphere/Tomcat
Experience in the finance industry.
Understanding of relational database management systems.
Experience in providing technical support for business applications.
Certification in architecture framework such as TOGAF, Zachman
