My client a leading provider of financial software solutions to the IFA Wealth Management industry seeks a Test Automation Engineer due to expansion and recent client driven growth.

What are the Key Responsibilities and Skills of the Test Automation Engineer

Python language required, C#, Java or Javascript language advantageous, In terms of DOM traversal an understanding of the web technologies such as

HTML/XML/XPATH/CSS/Javascript, required

Use of Selenium or other, code based, Test Automation tool

A good understanding of HTTP and or REST APIs

An understanding of writing non-functional and secure requirements and how to verify

them in automated tests, preferred.

Methodical test execution

Working with web applications and web APIs

Managing and evolving large test code bases using refactoring, established patterns

& practises and tooling.

Use of selenium API to build test automation via code.

Development of robust and test scripts that have sufficient coverage to ensure quality

deliverables are released to clients.

Experience Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery preferred

Experience of co-ordinating user acceptance testing, and working with stakeholders

to ensure the accuracy of test scenario execution.

To have excellent documentation skills, attention to detail and an ability to

communicate detailed technical issues to Development and to the internal business/

project team.

                              To be self-motivated and able to prioritise, and manage their time
