Project Manager required for a leading provider of technology services to the global financial industry.

The successful Project Manager will have experience working in a wealth management platform industry and the successful Project Manager will also have experience working on digital projects.

The Project Manager will create detailed system implementation plans in conjunction with project team and the client and will also monitor and control costs by initiating regular reviews to ensure that they fit within the budget and plan.

Key Skills Required;

** Proven experience as an Implementation Project Manager in the IT industry delivering large scale, mission critical projects, ideally from a Software Vendor perspective.

** Excellent communication skills.

** Strong negotiation skills.

** Able to be assertive with clients, whilst maintaining a strong relationship.

** Proven experience in administration in areas of documentation and reporting.

** Excellent organisational skills.

** Able to manage client expectations from the outset.

** Strong leadership qualities and able to lead by example.

** Able to manage people with various skills sets and years of experience whilst gaining their respect.

** Good logical & analytical problem resolution skills.

**Able to work to tight deadlines and in pressure situations whilst maintaining a clear thought process.

Nice to have;

** Experience in Life & Pensions, Financial Services or related area useful:

** Relevant PM qualification (APM, PRINCE2, PMI) and/or experience of a recognised method useful

Key responsibilities;

** Create a project plan that meets the needs of the SOW based on the standard Project Plan Template that identifies needs, tasks and dependencies, is understood by all involved, shows relevant accountabilities and is agreed and signed by respective stakeholders.

** Create detailed system implementation plans in conjunction with project team and the client.

** Manage Implementation Projects and ensure the projects run in accordance with the SOWs, detailed project plans and within the agreed budget, scope and time constraints.

** Manage the team in accordance with the detailed project plan, as per the roles and responsibilities defined therein.

** Assess risks and analyse costs and contingencies, and ensure that they are accounted for in the project plan or project status reports. Track regularly and update status of risks and mitigation strategies in weekly project status reports.

** Report the project status back to the client, Head of Programmes, PMO, Projects Steering Group, members of the project team and other stakeholders at a minimum on a weekly basis utilising the client’s standard reporting template.

** Monitor and control costs by initiating regular reviews to ensure that they fit within the budget and plan. Ensure that any variances are reported to the Head of Programmes and client via the project status reports.

** Ensure that the quality and the status of the project is complete as per the clients Quality Management System’s methodology and guidelines. (Eg. Is there a UAT sign off from the client; all outstanding issues are clearly documented and agreed upon).

** Ensure that internal systems are used correctly by the team to ensure accurate and timely project status and financial reporting, and the accurate and timely production of invoices.

** Assess resource needs for the project and provide reports to resource line managers such as the Business Analyst Manager and Technical Manager for future and changing resource needs.

** Ensure that project staff allocated to you are used effectively in order to meet billable KPIs defined to you from time to time.

** Meet with the Business Analyst Team Manager, Technical Manager and Software Development Project Manager on a regular basis to discuss the effectiveness of resources allocated to you by them, provide feedback on their performance, and take note of any specific development requirements for staff allocated to you.

** Monitor and manage team spirit and morale by initiating ideas that support an ongoing content and motivated working environment.
