Data Protection Risk and Assurance Manager - Retail Banking Group

Salary up to £50,000 with bonus and great benefits

Client is a well-known retail and banking group, are looking to recruit an experienced Data Protection/Risk Professional to join the evolving Risk team within the business.

The role will be key in embedding Data Protection regulations and processes into the Risk Framework of the business. Working with key stakeholders across the business to ensure ongoing compliance, you will be a key figure in providing advice on guidance on Data Protection Risk and how to best handle this.

The main responsibilities will include:

* Work closely with Risk Owners to help control and manage Data Protection Risk across the organisation.

* Measure and report on DP Risk.

* Take ownership of 2nd LoD Data Protection Risk Management and support the Enterprise Risk Management Framework in this regard.

* Conduct Risk assurance reviews.

Experience and Knowledge Required:

* Previous experience and expertise in data privacy laws (GDPR), regulations and practices.

* Commercial awareness, with an objective view of balance of data use and legal requirements.

* Confident communicator with the ability to influence people at a Senior level.

* Experience working within a 2nd LoD Risk role.

* Any Data Protection or Risk Management specific qualifications would be beneficial.
