MI Analyst - MI & Reporting - Insurance

A leading Insurer based in the heart of the City is currently looking for an MI / Business Analyst to come and work on an expanding project supporting the Actuarial teams.

The role includes responsibility for:

* Undertake analysis, development, testing and maintenance of new and enhanced reports from key systems

* Design and implement reporting methods to visualise and share data

* Provide ongoing improvements to the MI suite of reports, creating dashboards, scorecards and KPIs to keep senior managers informed of developments within the department

* Use Cognos, Business Objects and SQL Server tools to extract, process and report on data warehouses, pricing systems, workflow systems and external data sources, as required to support business needs

* Analyse requirements for process reengineering changes and develop appropriate solutions for implementation

* Automate processes using MS Excel (VBA and Macros), SharePoint, SQL and other systems

* Undertake testing and implementation of new processes and procedures

* Liaise with Underwriting, Finance, Claims and IT departments as applicable in relation to carrying out the role

Technical Capabilities:

* Highly numerate - expecting a good (2.1 or above) mathematical degree or related discipline.

* Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

* Knowledge of SQL and VBA is an advantage.
