Business Systems Analyst - Based in Keynsham, Bristol this is a great opportunity to be part of a team helping to deliver a new generation of submarines to carry the UK's nuclear deterrent. It is the largest programme in Defence with a budget of £34 billion confirmed in the Strategic Defence and Security Review.
We are charged with ensuring that the submarines, and the support arrangements that we and others provide, are capable of ensuring the delivery of the UK's Continuous At-Sea Deterrent patrols. The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for providing Business and Systems Analysis to the Team.
Overview of the Role
* Project management - Takes full responsibility for the definition, documentation and satisfactory completion of medium-scale projects. Identifies, assesses and manages risks to the success of the project.
* Business Analysis - Takes responsibility for investigative work to determine business requirements and specify effective business processes, through improvements in information systems, information management, practices, procedures, and organisation change. Applies and monitors the use of required modelling and analysis tools, methods and standards, giving special consideration to business perspectives.
* Business Process Improvement - Analyses business processes; identifies alternative solutions, assesses feasibility, and recommends new approaches, typically seeking to exploit technology components.
* Systems Design - Recommends/designs structures and tools for systems which meet business needs.
* Requirements definition and management - Facilitates scoping and business priority-setting for change initiatives of medium size and complexity.
Key Skills
* Degree qualified (or HND/HNC with relevant Information Systems experience).
* Experience of software, systems and business analysis.
* Management of requirements.
* Experience within the defence industry would be beneficial.
* The successful candidate will be required to obtain UK MOD Security Clearance (SC).
