Senior Business Analyst - 6 month contract - Sydney

Progressive IT is currently working with one of our key clients and resourcing for a Senior Business Analyst for an initial 6 month contract that will extend. The role is based in Sydney.

The role of the Senior Business Analyst is to provide analytical leadership and professional business analysis services to one of the organisations biggest projects. Acting as the intermediary between Business Stakeholders and Technology teams to ensure that business requirements are delivered in the most appropriate manner. The senior business analyst will Act as the 'go-to' person for Project Manager in distributing, delivering and monitoring of Business Analysis work

Responsibilities:

1 Stakeholder Relationships:

* Establish effective relationships with stakeholders; and

* Seek stakeholder feedback to ensure stakeholder understanding and acceptance.

* Ability to build effective working relationships.

1 Project Delivery:

* Assist the Project Manager in shaping and scoping delivery outcomes and associated project, budget, and resource plans;

* Apply appropriate quality assurance procedures to ensure excellence of product delivered to the client;

* Demonstrate expertise in best practice Business Analysis methodologies, processes, and tools;

* Proactively identifying, analysing and developing appropriate responses to issues and risks;

* Ensuring deliverables sign-off and effectiveness of outputs; and

* Provide status updates to the Project Manager for inclusion in overall program reporting.

1 Business Analysis and Consulting including:

* Analyse business processes, evaluate solutions, and identify opportunities for process innovation;

* Gathering data, using tools and techniques, to enable understanding of business requirements and client needs;

* Facilitate meetings incorporating business, technology, and user groups to gather information and business requirements;

* Verify and document business requirements and effectively translate into high quality business requirements specifications;

* Maintain requirements, enabling structured traceability (including requirements volatility and quality); and

* Effectively manage stakeholder expectations by utilising advanced consulting skills.

1 Testing and Implementation:

* Assist in development of test strategies, test plans, test acceptance criteria and test data;

* Coordinate test analysts and business users in the execution of test scripts

* Conduct usability testing; and

* Analyse defect priorities by investigating workarounds and stakeholder impact.

* Manage the team to achieve project goals and plans
