Infrastructure Engineer- Permanent - Birmingham

Spring Technology have partnered with a brand new client in order to find an extraordinary talented Infrastructure Engineer.

My client are a global software solutions company who can offer the successful candidate an amazing working environment and exposure to the latest cutting edge technologies.

The IT Infrastructure Engineer will provide expertise in supporting, managing, and

maintaining the IT Infrastructure including Office 365, Active Directory, Azure IaaS,

VMWare, SharePoint, Windows Server, SQL Server.

Responsibilities

*Detailed technical understanding of the following: Microsoft Infrastructure / Cloud XaaS technologies (O365, Azure IaaS, VMware, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy)

*Microsoft client applications (Office 2010/2013/2016, Windows 7 /8.x/10)

*Multi-tier application support

*Explain technical issues to internal customers and users in a way that is

understandable by non-IT professionals.

*Ask skilled and targeted questions to drill-down customer problems and

requirements.

*Escalate issues and problems as soon as the arise

*Communicate to project team members and management

*Provide proactive support to end users and other IT colleagues.

*Work with the wider IT organization to help develop new solutions and enhance

*existing solutions, that deliver viable/proven Business Value

*Follow technical and professional trends in the relevant technologies in order to keep abreast with the latest developments

*Work as an integral part of the Global IT team.

*Ability to adapt to quickly changing priorities.

*Move from support tasks to development or administrative tasks without issue.

Key Skills:

*Managing and maintaining multi-forest, multi domain Active Directory infrastructure

*Office 365 Administration

*Project delivery in enterprise environments

*Customer facing skills

*Implementing, managing and supporting public and private cloud services in an enterprise environment

*Recent Microsoft Infrastructure Certification/Office 365 or other similar Microsoft

Certification

Desirable

*MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure

*VCP

*Office client management

*Windows Operating System deployment

*SharePoint 2010 / 2013 / 2016 experience
