QA Engineer (Automation)A global software organisation in Hampshire are looking for a QA Engineer to join a talented engineering team to help develop an automation framework and analytical applications. They're looking for a creative and innovative QA Engineer to provide innovation bringing new ideas to the table from areas within web applications.The Role:You can play your part in an organisation which offers opportunity for promotion, access to management and leadership roles, and a supportive and friendly working environment.You'll be joining a cross functional team who are currently implementing a new automation framework and as a QA Engineer you will play a significant role in this alongside developers and management.Not only is this an opportunity for a QA Engineer to learn and develop their automation test understanding, but it is a prospect to develop within a thriving engineering team at the fore of modern technologies working within a dynamic everchanging environment.QA Engineer Responsibilities:

'€¢Both back end and front-end testing of web applications'€¢Developing, amending and supporting test issues within manual and automation testing'€¢To drive tests based upon specifications and user stories writing in Gherkin'€¢To log defects regarding bug tracking and managing these'€¢To write and execute SQL queries'€¢Be creative in identifying opportunities for improved productivity, efficiency and quality.'€¢Develop strong working relationships with other departments.

QA Engineer Qualifications:

'€¢Degree (or equivalent) in a technical subject'€¢4+ years functional testing experience'€¢Previous experience in the finance domain'€¢Strong communication skills'€¢Test experience with web applications'€¢An understanding of structured and unstructured test methods'€¢Experience with SQL

Desirables for the QA Engineer:

'€¢Automation testing experience (ideally with Selenium)'€¢Previous experience with in the financial services (eg. Pensions, Investment, Savings etc)'€¢An understanding of cross browser and cross device testing'€¢ISTQB / ISEB certification'€¢Previously used Microsoft Team Foundation Server'€¢Gherkin / Cucumber'€¢2+ years' experience in the finance domain
