Data Architect - Data Modeling - Finance - Manchester

I am currently working with an industry leader that are looking to add to their architectural team. This role is for a Data Architect who will be working amongst like minded professionals that all want to provide the best service across the business which ultimately will see the company progress further in terms of growth and market dominance.

This role will work with the IT Service Management leadership, IT service owners, process owners and various service delivery groups to develop technical solutions that satisfy the business needs of the organisation to the highest quality, in conjunction with other members of the Architecture & Engineering teams

You will be faced with various challenges, working multiple projects and supporting some of my clients key functions which ultimately will cement you in the position of a expert in the field as well as allowing you to gain recognition across the organisation.

This is a salaried position which is paying up to £60,000 with some great benefits which include a discrectionary bonus, unparalleled pension scheme, training & Certifications as well as the opportunity to get a front foot through the door of what is a translantic corporation.

I am looking for...

* Strong practical experience with data models, data flow diagrams, capturing and using meta-data, metadata modelling, relational databases and bridge forward/ bridge back data techniques

* Solid understanding of how a technology infrastructure organisation works, the concepts, functions and typical systems.

* Exposure to ServiceNow modules is advantageous within the following areas...

* Incident/Problem/Change

* CMDB

* Discovery

As part of this role you will be required to...

* Create and maintain a logical model of data curated by the company - with a specific focus on ServiceNow Data.

* Production of technical standards and guidelines for data design and models. Identifying and assessing associated technologies.

* Highlight (and help to resolve) disparity and ambiguity in current usage.

* Recommend changes to physical data models owned by the team in line with best practice.

* Review the system landscape through a data architecture lens, identify opportunities to simplify and harmonise, reduce redundancy and so on.

* Provide architectural and design oversight to ensure all solutions are fit for purpose and use.

* Analysis and ratification of requirements in-line with current agile delivery process

* Work closely with BA's, Architects, Testing team and process teams
