Database Administrator / 2nd Line Support Engineer

Bristol (with travel to the London office once a fortnight)

£32,000 - £35,000 per annum DOE Plus Excellent Benefits

Would you like the opportunity to help develop a database system which will transform the way an exciting legal firm works?

The role

Our client is seeking a Database Administrator / 2nd Line Support Engineer to join their tightly integrated IT department in Bristol. You will work closely with the Operations Engineer to support the implementation and management of a new Practice and Case Management System - Patricia.

Reporting to the Head of IT, you will play a truly integral role in the team and as part of the wider business. The role will involve SQL database administration and system configuration to include links between multiple SQL databases, the design, creation and delivery of custom reports, as well as IT and application support for users.

Your normal place of work will be Bristol where the IT function is based, and you will initially spend one day per fortnight working in the London office to ensure effective collaboration with the Operations Engineer.

Our client is offering an excellent salary of around £32,000 - £35,000 per annum depending on experience, and their benefits package includes a discretionary Christmas bonus, holiday buy/sell scheme and a newly introduced sabbatical policy.

About you

You will be able to demonstrate good SQL (2016) knowledge to include MS SQL Tools, and you will have experience using reporting tools such as Crystal or Tableau. Our client is looking for someone who has been involved in the set up and configuration of a database or document management system and has demonstrable working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Your interpersonal and communication skills will be first-rate, and you will be able to manage and prioritise requests with speed, accuracy and consideration.

Any experience of the Patricia system would put you at a distinct advantage but is not essential as advanced training will be provided.
