DTS Risk and Assurance Consultant- Staines

Rate: £600 p/d

Location: Staines, UK.

Are you an highly experienced DTS Risk and Assurance Consultant looking for your next challenge? Continue your career with us! Use your professional expertise to enable the effective management of risk and provide functional assurance over controls for DTS.

We are looking for a candidate who has good understanding and the ability to apply commonly- used concepts, practices, and procedures for IT governance.

Key Accountabilities:

* Assisting the Risk and Assurance Manager in implementing activities to support the DTS Risk and Functional Assurance strategy and plan:

* Tracking enterprise risk registers for information security risks.

* Reviewing information security controls on an ongoing basis against the changing risk landscape and assess the sufficiency of the corresponding compensating control or the need for new controls.

* Evaluating and identifying new and current information security risks using internal sources. (audit findings, penetration test results, etc.)

* Evaluating and identifying new and current information security risks using external sources. (threat intelligence feeds, industry specific threat advisories, etc.)

* Recognise and identify opportunities for DTS process improvement through controls simplification and standardisation.

* Generating reports, dashboards and related communications to report on risks and control assurance for control committees and stakeholders.

* Performing information security assessments

Key Competencies and Qualifications:

* Familiarity with GRC tool usage.

* Knowledge of standards, frameworks, methodologies and leading practices, related to risk and controls identification.

* Balance of business acumen and technology knowledge.

* Bachelor's degree preferred in area of study.

* Understanding of the Information Security Forum (ISF) controls framework, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework, Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology (COBIT), International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) 27000.

* Ability to translate technical language into business language and vice versa.

Candidate may be required to travel to operational sites.
