Automated Test Engineer required for multi-national and leading business in Plymouth. Fantastic working facility, with free parking and free vend & canteen.

The business is pushing a next-generation product line, which will be at the forefront of the company's product portfolio whilst given you the opportunity to work with Cloud based technologies and other areas such as IoT.

Key Requirements;

* Experience with scripting tests (Python, Behave). Integrating these with software build tools (e.g. TeamCity, Jenkins) will be highly desirable.

* Previous testing experience with a proven track record, in the areas of systems & software. Firmware/Embedded Systems testing is desirable.

* Knowledge of Behaviour Driven Development.

* Knowledge of agile development environments, including Scrum.

* Knowledge or awareness of the Systems/Software engineering lifecycle.

How your day will look;

* Working closely with development teams to provide test input to developers and to support problem solving activities.

* Designing, scripting, developing and executing software and integration tests through automation platforms.

* Providing system test expertise to cross-functional development teams to facilitate responsive feedback on new features and system deliverables.

* Performing pre-integration and integration testing in close collaboration with the development teams.

* Supporting in-field testing and trials.

* Developing tests that maximise test coverage at a system level.

Other Responsibilities;

* Performing thorough system, software and pre-integration testing and providing the necessary feedback in a clear and concise manner in appropriate timescales.

* Working within cross-disciplinary project teams to demonstrate system behaviour for acceptance.

* Maintaining a customer focus at all times and drive rapid feedback on product behaviours through system testing.

* Developing and own the software test solution for a development scrum team.

* Planning and executing end-to-end system testing across a mixture of manual and automated tests.
