Software Developer - Required to work for a leading Financial Data Provider with offices in the UK, USA and Canada.We are looking for experienced Mid-Level Software Engineers to join a high performance Engineering Team in Central London. Ideal candidates will share a passion for tackling complexity with simplicity and building platforms using Java that can scale massively and are not afraid of exploring unconventional solutions. Applicants should be keen to learn new things alongside Java, C++ (multithreading, spring) and will be looking for an opportunity to gain experience with modern technologies, and will be able to deliver to deadlines. A strong work ethic will be expected as a matter of course.My client works with financial and economic data. If you have complementary knowledge around financial markets and economics, that would be useful. If you don't have this knowledge, but would like some, then working with my client will provide it.
The successful candidates will join either a pricing or derivatives team so any background/ knowledge of the financial sector will be beneficial for this position. Skills & Requirements: '€¢Strong fundamental knowledge'€¢Developer with a strong can-do-it attitude '€¢Commercial experience Java or C++ '€¢Solid experience with spring, multithreading, concurrency, server architectures, and distributed systems '€¢Database knowledge - MySQL,'€¢Financial knowledge/ understanding
