3rd Line Support Engineer

One of our top financial services clients is seeking a 3rd Line Support Engineer to join their team based in Staffordshire. As the Senior Infrastructure Engineer you will be responsible for dealing with escalated issues which cannot be resolved by 1st / 2nd line support.

You will act as the "go between" for the Infrastructure and Development teams for all IT issues. The role will join a team of 3 reporting in to the Head of IT, and you will be the Lead engineer, supporting those in the team.

As the 3rd Line Support Engineer, your duties will include but not limited to:

*Act as the point of contact for any issues which cannot be resolved by 1st or 2nd line support teams

*Identify and locate the cause of any severe IT issues

*Provide technical expertise and propose technical concepts to both internal and external teams

*Support and mentor other team members with any questions/problems they may have

*Liaise with 3rd party suppliers and customers

The 3rd Line Support Engineer you will be required to possess:

*Proven track record with providing 3rd line support

*Strong networking skills

*Knowledge of telephone solutions and supporting VOIP is advantageous

*Experience with On-Premise Antivirus and Backup

*Experience of email configuration and troubleshooting desktops and mobile devices

*Previous experience with virtual server and hosted desktop deployments

Experience with the following technologies is required:

*Active Directory

*Exchange / Office365

*VMware/HyperV

*Veeam

*SharePoint

*AWS/Azure

*Cyber Security technologies - Fortinet Firewalling / Mimecast / Kaspersky

With a salary on offer of up to £35,000 + benefits, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced 3rd Line Support Engineer to transition in to a team lead role.
