The Role:

Zero Waste Scotland, Scotland’s resource efficiency and circular economy expert is looking for an experienced 3rd Line IT Support Analyst.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a support desk of 4 staff supporting a user base of around 160. Zero Waste Scotland is currently going through a refresh of infrastructure and technologies with an ambitious IT cloud based and agile flexible strategy in place. Vibrant offices with a relaxed and friendly working environment.

As a 3rd Line IT Support Analyst you will report to the IT Manager and will be responsible for working closely with the business and fellow support colleagues to implement and maintain critical infrastructure elements as well as day to day support to meet our operations present and future business needs.

Besides your day to day activities, there will be plenty of opportunities for you to get involved in projects and innovate. You will be a key part of the IT team and thrive in delivering high-quality results and always be on the lookout for improvements.

The Candidate:

To be successful in this role you will be a highly customer service focused individual with a desire to exceed expectations. You will be a thriving team player with a genuine interest in IT and some experience working within a small business support team is essential.

Some of the skills that we are looking for include:

Helpdesk Call Logging Management / Onsite and Remote

Microsoft Server 2008 / 2012/ 2016/ Azure

Microsoft Active Directory, Group Polices, DNS, DHCP

Windows 7 / 8 /10, Office 2010 / 2013 / 2016

Microsoft Office 365

VOIP and hosted voice knowledge

Networking knowledge

Virtualisation Technologies (Hyper - V)

Project Management

Training and development Junior members of IT staff

You will be expected to provide a range of support from desk top, remote and onsite support, there will be a large customer facing aspect to this role.
