Risk Analyst

My financial services client is recruiting a Risk Analyst to act as the 1st line of defence with evolving the risk framework by reviewing processes and identifying key risks and relevant related controls across Operations, Technology and Operational Partnerships. You will assist with Governance including Over payments, Risk Reporting, Issue Management and related escalation.

Candidates must come from a Risk Management background with a thorough knowledge of key Risk Principles including ISO27001, COBIT, 10 Steps to Cyber Security etc. Additionally your experience should include defining and implementing business risk management processes as well as internal audit.

Role Responsibilities

COO Risk Framework

*Assist the 2LOD and COO Risk Manager with evolving the Scheme Risk Framework within the COO area

*Review COO operational processes & ensure current Risks and Controls are relevant.

*Eliminate the duplication of controls (controls mitigating multiple risks)

*Define and ensure "Key" risks and controls are easily identifiable - Ensure their related effectiveness relates to the published residual Risk Score

1LOD Risk Governance

*Assist with ongoing reporting of the COO Risk and Controls reporting process

*Assist and represent COO Risk on ongoing change / transformation initiatives

*Represent Risk within the Issue Management meetings ensuring ongoing Scheme / Partner issues are captured and remediated on a timely basis

*Manage the ongoing Over payment reporting and related analysis / insight

*Support the COO Risk Manager to define key risk indicators and embed a periodic performance monitoring and reporting process

*Assist with remediation activities of control exceptions identified through Internal / External audits
