Solution Architects (PLM) Contract
Act as an SME consultant on all matters related to solutions design and functional specifications for PLM update or implementation projects.
Define the functional architecture of new applications as well as the corresponding data model.
Perform pre-implementation impact analysis and list functional risks associated with the selected architectural approach.
Validate the proposed solution at the end of the design phase to ensure the latter is in line and consistent with the client’s project roadmap from an operational, integrative and financial point of view.
Plan and lead workshops meant to collect and document the client’s functional needs (functional audits), facilitate exchanges and interactions between all stakeholders and parties involved in the process.
Supervise the writing of various functional, conceptual and design documents: use cases, user narratives, functional specifications, etc.
Analyze and document the performance of the client’s existing PLM processes. In parallel, evaluate the portfolio of PLM tools already set up within the organization.
Supervise the fit/gap analysis process for all functional/business aspects of the project.
Supervise tasks attributed to the functional analysts assigned to the project and collaborate closely with the designated applications architect for all deliverables.
Ensure interaction and communication with the various internal/external stakeholders in order to report on the project’s progress (project sponsor, managers, users, suppliers, corporate IT services, etc.).
Assist the designated project manager/director in planning and project control activities (production KPI).
Provide the designated project manager with feedback on the progress of the functional/business aspects of the project, suggest improvements to the project planning as needed.
Handle all related tasks aimed at project completion.
