Established over 200 years ago, our client is a world leader within the maritime, defence, aerospace, Oil and gas industry. With multiple sites across the UK and the rest of the world, they are looking to grow the IT support team in Bristol which specifically covers the maritime side of the business (Middle East and the UK).

As a IT Support Engineer, you will join the business and undergo specific product training in Norway. Once up and running you will be responsible for working within a small team based in Bristol where you provide technical support services on marine sensors including radar, radio, CCTV and AIS both remotely and face to face (30%/70%). Full product training will be offered to the successful candidate.

The role;

* IT Support Engineer

* Technical support on marine sensors (radar, radio, CCTV and AIS)

* Support latest operating systems (MS Windows, SQL server, Linux)

* 3rd party software support / testing (VMWare)

* Support and testing in house software

* Network support (LAN / WAN)

* 30% customer sites / 70% remote support in Bristol

* 1 in 4 support rota

The Person (Must have);

* Linux and Windows experience

* Some network support experience (LAN/WAN)

* Some VMware experience

* SQL server experience (T-SQL)

* MCSA and an ITIL qualification

* Happy to travel 30% of the time - UK and occasionally overseas

* Looking for lots of training and development
