My Scotland based client are currently recruiting for an experience Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. My client deal with Health & Safety software solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and growing business.

The relevant candidate will be responsible for:

* Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools

* Identify, record, document rigorously and track bugs

* Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback

* Create thorough, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases

* Estimate, prioritise, plan and coordinate testing activities

* Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions

* rack quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts

* Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved

* Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs

* Collaborate with internal teams like, developers and product managers) to identify system requirements

* Monitor debugging process results

* Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

The relevant candidate will have the following skills and experience:

* Proven work experience in software quality assurance

* Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes

* Designs tests and provides requirements for automated tests;

* Designs automation workflows and scripts for topmost product coverage;

* Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases

* Experience with API Testing

* Experience with Mobile testing

* Experience with automated testing tools like Selenium

* Contribute to usability, integration, documentation or functional testing;

* Help ensure the quality and completeness of team deliverables;

* Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting

* Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process

* Prepare and maintain QA artefacts including, but not limited to test plans, test cases, scripts, and metrics/reports;
