Length: 12 months daily rate, there is a possible 12 month extension after this.

Start date: 1st of October or as soon after.

Interview: 1 round onsite on the 4th of September

Support: We will help you every step of the way in understanding the job, preparing for an interview, organising accommodation and the location. We will also explain how to set up a Ltd/umbrella company, submit timesheets etc. We will also meet/skype you before the interview.

Public Sector Body Information:

This public sector body is responsible for supporting one of Ireland's natural resources, this includes promoting sustainable development through strategic funding and research. They have four offices across the country and 150 people in this Public Sector Body.

Project: You will be developing and designing the Public Sector Body's online information services. The current services are built using Microsoft .Net framework (version 4.5+), C#, MVC, Angular, REST APIs, SQL Server 2008 / 2012 with open-source JavaScript libraries (D3, leaflet) for online data graphing and mapping. The Web Applications Developer will work with approximately 7 other team members, to develop and support the websites and related software services further as business requirements arise. The Web Developer will work with the Applications Development team, which is managed by the Applications Development Manager.

Web Applications Developer duties:

The Web Application Developer will work with the team to carry out a range of design and development functions to support the development and maintenance of online information services, including to:

* Provide technical design for online service solutions;
* Support the development and maintenance of new online data and information services based on the .Net framework and toolsets, C#, MVC, with Angular and REST APIs;
* Develop online data visualisations using open-source JavaScript libraries to integrate into websites;

The Web Applications Developer will develop, support and maintain online data-focused web applications based on.Net, MVC and Angular frameworks. Experience with REST APIs, WebSockets and JSON would be very beneficial. Experience with design and development of online graphical user interfaces and data visualisations using open source JavaScript libraries is required. Experience with UNITY framework would also be beneficial.

Web Application Developer Skillsets:


* 4+ years' experience with development, support and maintenance of data-focused online services. These services are developed using Microsoft .Net framework (version 4.5+), C#, MVC, Angular, REST APIs, WebSockets, SQL Server 2008 / 2012.
* 4+ years' experience with JavaScript for online data visualisations including graphing and web mapping is required using open-source tools such as D3, High Charts and Leaflet
* Level 7 or 8 degree in IT or equivalent.


* Experience with the public sector
