We are currently representing a leading specialist civil engineering and construction company working in the HV infrastructure, who are looking to recruit a Site Manager for their office in Cheshire/Greater Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual working to deliver complex, high value projects throughout the UK for clients such as National Grid and the DNOs.

Our client is a well-established, award winning professional practice working on projects between £50,000 and £25 million with this role to feature on the upper end of that scale.

They are currently seeking an ambitious Site Manager to be working throughout the UK, travel will be required with sites located all over the UK working away from home Mon-Fri will be required depending on the location of the site. We are seeking a well presented, articulate Site Manager with the ability to liaise directly with clients during site meetings, site staff and internally with the estimating & procurement departments, working with honesty and integrity to maintain the company image and values and ensure a customer focused approach to site activities.

The candidate should be highly literate and numerate, with the ability to plan and manage works efficiently, allocating resources and able to manage the work loads of gangs of directly employed labour, plant, and specialist sub-contractors to effectively deliver projects on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in the utilities or related sectors, such as drainage, duct laying, excavation and trenching, A working knowledge of New Roads and streetworks and working in a range of environments such as the highway, greenfield and brownfield sites would also be beneficial.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have the following:

* Conversant with current UK Health and Safety Legislation/Systems of works

* Able to complete RAMS for a variety of construction activities using existing company or client templates

* SMSTS (5 Day Site Manager)

* First aid

* CSCS

Remuneration

£38,000 + car allowance +benefits
