Senior Java Developer- Berlin- £600-800 p/d- 6 Months- English Speaking

My client is a Cloud Platform based Service Provider based in Berlin. It is an English speaking role. They are looking for a Senior Java Developer who has strong experience in an Agile environment, who is highly proficient in Java(Spring Boot), AWS or similar and ideally someone with experience in Event Driven Architecture

They are a FMCG organisation that places huge value and enfaces on office culture, being positive and producing the best results for yourself and the company

The position:

* Define, write, test and maintain clean and self-explanatory endpoints for RESTful APIs using continuous integration, microservices patterns and other related topics

* Develop features for different data domains (order, customer, restaurant, etc.) with a focus on performance and security

* Explore new technologies, weigh their pros and cons and share your insights within your team

* Provide support to colleagues both inside your team and out

Your profile:

* Highly proficient in Java (Spring Boot)

* Experience with relational SQL databases (MySQL)

* Previous exposure to working with Docker

* Have an understanding with DevOps mentality and CI/CD systems

* Solid communication skills in both written and spoken English

* An Approach of an open mind, curiosity and initiative

The following would be a plus:

* Proficiency in PHP (Phalcon Framework desirable)

* Background with Domain Driven Design (DDD) in a microservices environment

* Experience with other microservices or cloud solutions and tools, such as Kubernetes, AWS, Kafka, Consul and Mesos/Marathon

* Knowledge using NoSQL DB
