Full Stack Web Developer - HTML5, CSS3 .Net | £45K - Global Provider to Media Industry

Based in Market Harborough, Leicestershire we are the leading global provider of fulfilment services to the media industry, with operations in the UK, US and Australia.

We are looking for a creative-minded Web Developer who is motivated by combining the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application.

You'll also work on C# server code to create or change functionality in our current products as well as building internal tools that can be utilised in the day to day activities for business.

Full Stack Web Developer Main Duties:

+ Develop new user-facing features

+ Build reusable code and libraries for future use

+ Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

+ Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability

+ Ensure all user input is validated before submitting to back-end systems

+ Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

+ Able to design responsive screen designs

+ Able to design responsive user journeys

+ Work with the Web Software Developer to integrate the front end technologies with the back end server code

+ Work with C# ASP.Net/MVC to create customised journeys based on client needs with a product approach in mind.

+ Design code with the forethought of re-usability

About You:

+ Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3

+ Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery

+ Good understanding of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as AngularJS, BootStrap or any that are embedded into our products

+ Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX(with JSON or XML)

+ Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.

+ Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as SVN or GIT

+ Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them

+ Understanding of OWASP guidelines, and how to implement them in the code written

+ Be able to implement web code in a dynamic manner, i.e. storing code in a database structure

+ Use tools such as BrowserStack to run tests over many browsers

+ Understanding of ASP.Net/MVC C# and VB.net

+ Effective communicator on all levels.

Bonus Skills:

+ Act as a mentor for junior staff members and to share knowledge with all in the team members

+ Familiar with Continuous Integration systems

+ Learn new concepts and diversify into new technical areas

+ PHP coding skills
