Rate negotiable depending on experience

IC Resources are working with a successful global Oil & Gas business based in Glasgow to find a Contract Mechanical Design Engineer for a period of 12 months. The role will involve working on the design and development of pipelay equipment. The successful applicant will have:

* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

* Experience in a similar position working on pipelay equipment

* Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Inventor and Solidworks

* Ability to produce and understand engineering drawings and documents

* FEA experience and the ability to produce supporting hand calculations (MathCAD)

* Knowledge of Industry Standards

* Offshore/site experience desirable but not essential
