Summary of Department:

The Change Delivery department is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Digital Solutions annual project portfolio, the delivery of all projects and programmes within the portfolio, and the ongoing evolution of the Digital Solutions Change Management framework. Its primary objective is to plan and deliver the programmes of work that are required to support Digital Solutions in achieving its business objectives.

What will the key purpose of the Project Manager role be?

The management of a number of initiatives within a large portfolio of approved regulatory and discretionary projects to meet identified business needs, acquiring and utilising the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales and quality. Working with mentors, Lead Project Managers and Portfolio Managers to seek support and guidance as required. Occasional travel across multiple sites may be required.

What key skills & experience does the Project Manager need to have:

Essential

? Project delivery methodologies e.g. agile, waterfall, Prince2

? Risk Management - project and operational

Desired

? Financial industry knowledge

? Understanding the hierarchy and culture of own, customer and supplier organisations and being able to identify the decision makers and influencers in order to successfully implement initiatives

? Understanding the principles, methods, techniques and tools for the preparation and monitoring of budgets to minimise costs and ensure cost-effectiveness

Experience:

Essential

? experience of delivering change through a project management lifecycle that could include Waterfall, Agile or Hybrid approaches.

? a knowledge of applied project management, delivery and planning principles that includes scoping, requirements, testing and business readiness.

? a knowledge of project budget management processes that includes how to conduct regular re-forecasting, tracking variance, and the impact of change control.

? strong business influencing and decision-making skills that achieve early resolution of key decisions and remove conflict from the project.

? successful and proven relationship management skills that enable complex project problems to be communicated to key stakeholders in an accessible and engaging way.

Desired

? Sound experience within financial services industry

? Have a relevant project management qualification (example Prince 2)

? Have delivered projects in both a Waterfall and an Agile/ Hybrid manner, using project management tools such as JIRA and MS Project.

? Experience of delivering complex Business Change and IT delivery projects

? Proven track record of project delivery
