Are you an IT Security Specialist looking for a new challenge or a step within your career?

Well I might have the opportunity you have been looking for. I am currently seeking an extraordinary talented IT Security Specialist for one of my key clients based in Birmingham.

You will work within the IT Department, reporting to the Head of IT Governance. You will be the subject matter expert in IT Security, Audit and Compliance and deliver excellent IT Services for the business.

Responsibilities

*Designs and leads on all aspects of IT Security policy, including cloud, network,

encryption, anti-virus, devices, datacentres, physical security and similar

*Leads on Risk Management for the IT department, owns the IT Risk Register, and

works closely with risk owners and the risk processes and people throughout the business

*Develops and manages an Information Security Assurance program and maintains

relationships with Internal and External Auditing services.

*Owns the IT department response to internal, external and government audits of IT Security

*Leads on penetration testing, partnering with external organisations to ensure the IT physical and virtual security of the business

*Leads on planning and IT related Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity matters

*Advises within the department and across the fund on current and potential

threats, and mitigation

*Holds a relevant Higher Education degree or has comparable experience

*Holds or is working towards security certification ie. CISSP, CISM /ISO 27001

*Advises within the department and works closely throughout the fund on Data

protection/GDPR compliance

*Leads on IT security training and business awareness

Key skills

*Being an IT Security subject matter expert

*Designing and leading on all aspects of IT Security policy, including cloud, network,

*application, encryption, anti-virus, devices, datacentres, physical security and

*similar

*Horizon-scanning and innovative mitigation of risk

*Strong technical understanding of Microsoft on-premise and cloud-technologies

*(including Azure, Sharepoint, Dynamics and Office 365) from an IT Security

*standpoint

*Network configuration, security and security: infrastructure, application,

*virtualisation

*DNS hosting and network configuration

*General principles of mobile device management, configuration and encryption

*technologies

*GDPR/Data Protection compliance

*ISMS, ITIL or IT Best Practice Framework, QSA or lead auditing experience
