++ Working from home this is a flexible and fantastic opportunity for a hands-on IT Technical Manager to put their skills to great use and join a very forward-thinking team of 16 ++

You will have ideally held a previous management/supervisory role but with a strong technical background and active hands on approach. This would also suit a very senior technical engineer looking for their first move into a Technical Management role.

The IT Technical Manager Role:

As Technical Manager, you will be providing direct technical support to a select few premium clients but also provide points of escalation to the technical department. You will also be designing technical solutions, oversee and plan projects along with working on new and innovative solutions which can be added to our portfolio of products and services.

Your main responsibilities will include:

+ Providing support for premium clients

+ Taking the lead on technical decisions and being the last point of escalation

+ Oversee server installations and migrations

+ Project manage large installs/server builds

+ Provide consultative advice on products and solutions

+ Guide, support and help develop other technical colleagues

What IT skills are we looking for?

+ Previous experience supporting small to medium size businesses

+ Proficient within Windows server 2008 to 2016 environments

+ Hyper-V / VM Ware

+ SAN’s & Clusters

+ SQL

+ MS Exchange 2007 to 2016

+ Linux (ideally)

+ Terminal Service/Remote Desktop Services

+ LAN/TCPIP/DHCP/DNS/Firewalls/VPN`s/WIFI

+ Windows 7 to 10 & MS Office

+ Office 365 / AWS / Azure

+ Microsoft MSSA, MCSE,MCITP,MCP

+ VoIP Systems

What you’ll need:

You must be a highly customer service focused individual with a desire to exceed expectations. You will be a thriving team player with a genuine interest in IT and some experience working within a small business support team is essential. The working environment can be incredibly fast paced, so the perfect candidate will be able to keep a level head when under high amounts of pressure. You will also take responsibility and ownership of technical issues and escalations seeing them through to completion to ensure client satisfaction is maximised.
