Our client is a global leader in entertainment with over 100M+customers in 150+ countries, and they cemented their position in media conglomerate history by smashing nearly all records through developing over 700 original series and movies in 2018. Customer Service (CS) is one of the few verticals in which we clearly hear the sentiments of our customers across geographies. Using data from a global network of call centres, extensive self help articles and social media our client looks to solve customer problems and aim to improve our product experience before problems arise.

The client is looking for a highly driven Data Scientist that will take analytics to the next level. You will be an innate problem solver looking to connect the dots across company functions to derive a comprehensive story and optimise the customer service experience for members across the globe.

Responsibilities

* Be a strategic partner and work with business stakeholders to define high impact analytical problems and find innovative ways to solve these problems with data.

* Mine through data to develop deep analysis producing meaningful insights and actionable recommendations that will lead to improving the customer experience, operational efficiency and drive key decisions

* Build dashboards and visualisations that enable stakeholders to self-serve metrics and trends effectively. Assist and educate on interpretation.

Qualifications: Essential

* Experience in managing stakeholders in cross functional teams such as executive leadership, operations, product management, and technology.

* Must be able to translate business objectives into actionable analyses, and analytic results into business and product recommendations.

* Strong expertise in mining data to derive deep insights, build recommendations and present your findings

* Extensive experience writing SQL on RDBMS or a distributed environment (Oracle, Teradata, MySQL, Hive etc.)

* Excellent communication skills: written, verbal and presentation skills

* B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or related quantitative fields

Qualifications: Desired

* Experience in statistical modelling or designing causal experiments is a plus

* Experience programming with languages such as Python, R is a plus

* Experience creating data visualisations with products such as Tableau, Shiny, Qlik, is a plus

* Quantitative Science Related PhD would be a major plus
