Senior Linux Systems Administrator role in this advanced computing software group. This is a Linux Systems Admin role like no other. In this role you will support our internal development teams, and work on customer deployments of our hardware products. As well as supporting their Linux infrastructure you will be able to work with our clients advanced complex hardware systems and develop products and services that are based on Linux, FreeNAS, and Cloud (AWS) technologies.

The role is very varied, but will include:

      •     Designing and implementing internal and client based Linux clusters

      •     Maintenance of internal IT infrastructure, services and networks

      •     Establishing and maintaining business continuity procedures (backup, disaster recovery etc)

      •     Building and modifying bespoke hardware systems

      •     Set-up and deployment of virtual machines, workstations, and servers

      •     Providing general technical support

Essential experience includes:

      •     Knowledge of Linux (particularly Red Hat Enterprise)

      •     Knowledge of networking (Linux Networking - iptables, VPN) and some of IGMP, OSPF, RIP, BGP, PIM

      •     Competent programming using scripting languages such as Bash, Python, Perl, Ruby, etc

      •     Switch and Router configuration - JunOS, IOS

      •     Understanding of virtualization technologies

      •     Knowledge of NFS, DNS or LDAP
