Due to continued expansion, this niche digital agency has an immediate requirement for an experienced web developer to join their family in the heart of Chester.

You will be a creative, innovative professional with exceptional knowledge of planning and delivering bespoke PHP based websites and applications.

The Role

Working with the digital director you will take the lead on a variety of exciting client and in-house projects including web services and SaaS startups over the coming months. As a key member of the team you'll be actively involved in the technical planning, development, testing and ongoing support of all projects.

As a family owned and operated company this is an ideal opportunity for a mid-senior PHP developer to play an active part in shaping their future technical team and offering with the potential for the right candidate to fast-track to a technical lead position.

Skills required:

- A minimum of 3 years commercial experience in a similar mid/senior role

- Fully proficient in PHP 7

- Proficient in at least one PHP framework - preferably Laravel / Symfony

- Fully proficient in creating and maintaining MySQL databases

- Web services (REST/JSON/SOAP)

- Strong knowledge of front end technologies - HTML5/CSS3/jQuery

- Mentoring / Leadership capabilities

Advantageous but not essential:

- Knowledge of a Java framework - eg. Angular, Vue

- Previous SaaS experience

- Server administration and scaling
