Director of Nursing and Quality

I am currently working with an NHS client regarding a Director of Nursing and Quality role based in London. The role is Outside of IR35 and is initially for 3 months, though based on the conversations the role will be extended.

The client would like to see CV's as soon as possible and is keen on reaching out to the best people available on the market at the moment who can deliver as a Director of Nursing and Quality.

With this in the mind the client would like the person coming on board to be an Executive Lead as a Chief Nurse with responsibility for:

1 Patient safety and patient experience, including infection prevention and control

2 Working with the Medical Director to ensure consistent high quality clinical standards

3 Ensure comprehensive coverage of risk, open reporting and improvement plans which are monitored and audited and improvements made

4 Provide advice to the Board, CEO and Executive Team on all aspects of quality, governance and risk

5 Lead, with close partnership with the Medical Director, the establishment and operation of a robust integrated quality and governance structure so that the Board has visibility and assurance at all times of quality, risk and health and safety considerations and their proper management

6 Oversee the professional development of all nursing and therapy co-owners in the organisation ensuring that the organisation meets all of its obligations and complies with NMC and NHS regulations and recommendations

7 Work closely with the organisations professional leads to provide highly visible strategic leadership of all professional groups and attendance at external Director of Nursing and AHP forums.

8 Provide visible and effective leadership within partnerships, clinical networks and within STPs

9 Develop and maintain relationships with higher education and other relevant institutions to continue to develop innovative practice

10 Extensive knowledge of CQC and compliance framework

11 Experience of effective Budget management
