Contract Java Developer

Cardiff

£425 - £475 per day

This company is proud to be partnering exclusively with a growing consultancy based in South Wales.

They are keen to talk to experienced Java developers looking for a new engagement on a large project- ideally those who think outside the box and have the ability to build creative solutions to complex technical challenges.

Tech Stack

Java Web applications - utilising frameworks such as Bootstrap, Ionic, Express

Tomcat

Nginx

Docker

AWS

JavaScript/TypeScript (React.js, angular.js, node.js, svelte.js)

Demonstrable knowledge of concepts like MVC, JDBC, and RESTful and build tools like Ant, Maven, and Gradle would be highly advantageous.

Remit:

- Working in an Agile: Scrum or Kanban environment.

- Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.

- Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team.

- Collaborate with other software developers, business analysts and software architects to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain web- and desktop-based business applications.

- Provide third-level support to business users.

- Programming and technical expertise in delivering intuitive, high quality and error free code.

- Adapting and learning to work with other languages/platforms where required.

- Follow company programming standards during the software development process.

- Produce detailed technical documentation, as per company standards describing the new system and/or enhancements including implementation decisions made.

- Ensure that the new system and/or enhancement is correct and is of a standard to be handed over to the client.
