It's an exciting time for Autosmart as we continue to grow and such growth can only be sustained with the help and support of a strong IT function. We need an experienced Head of IT to join us on a permanent basis and help strengthen, grow and cultivate the IT department to reach its full potential.

The Head of IT will have overall responsibility for leading the IT strategy development and its implementation. Your first priority will be to review the current status quo and quickly identify the proposed strategy needed to support the business objectives and build a team to implement this. You will ensure the strategy is scalable and robust yet cost effective and tailored to support the company through its growth.

As a seasoned Head of IT, you will be the voice to the board on all matters pertaining to IT and will be accountable for all decision making, strategy, projects and development within the department. Reporting directly into the Operations Director, it is imperative the successful candidate is a responsible, forward thinking, autonomous individual who is confident in their own capability and comfortable recommending projects, future direction and priorities for the IT function, with expenditure justifications at board level.

Core responsibilities include:

*Engaging with business stakeholders to develop an IT strategy

*Having a practical approach to duties, especially in the infancy stages of projects

*Building and restructuring IT department to ensure effective service delivery

*Leading all IT support and development activities, including the use of external partners

*Preparing operating and capital budgets for the IT department and completing projects to time within budget

*Managing a team, supporting and coaching new talent and overseeing day to day needs of department staff

*Delegating work and improving work flow for support desk and development tasks

*Researching and advising on ways to improve existing systems as well as introducing new solutions to the business

*Ensuring that the business is in alignment with industry standards for IT capabilities

*Project management

*Business systems analysis and documentation

*ERP (Sage 1000)

*CRM (SalesForce, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage)

*Microsoft (Office, SharePoint, SQL Server)
