Oracle Integration Engineer- Hook- 6 Months.

Role Purpose

Responsible for the design, creation, testing and documenting of new and amended programs from supplied specifications in accordance with agreed standards. The provision of application maintenance and support services, either directly to users of the applications or to service delivery functions.

* This Systems Engineer, as part of a larger 4th Line Engineering support team, will provide specialist support for the whole Inc2c environment with particular emphasis on Oracle and SQL Server databases.

* They will also provide technical support to issues raised by the Service Management Centre (SMC), be responsible for the investigation and delivery of defect resolutions through Engineering in to the Production Environment without impacting the Live service, delivering engineering changes to time and quality and be responsible for following the engineering lifecycle.

* In addition to the Oracle and SQL specialisms, the engineer will support all parts of the infrastructure with particular focus on live issues including Windows 2008/R2, Windows Vista/7, Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell, HP Client Automation (Radia), VMWare, McAfee Products, Lumension Products, Windows Installer, IP / Firewall technologies , SAN based storage as well as in-house applications.

* The engineer will provide an active role in maintaining and improving the security of the system to high government standards.

Mandatory Skills Required:

* DV clearance

* Oracle Subject Matter Expert

* Be capable of producing concise install documentation.

* Experience of working in a secure environment

* Oracle Database 10/11/12

* Windows Oracle 12c expertise and experience in performance optimisation and problem diagnosis using Oracle, TOAD and other tools in a secure production environment

* Windows Server 2012/2008

* Windows 7 / Vista Desktop

* Active Directory

* DNS

* DHCP

* DFS

* Group Policy Objects

* Server Failure Debugging

* Anti Virus (VirusScan & EPO)

Desirable Skills Required:
