Data Analyst - Contract - 3 months initially - Dorset. My client, a leading UK University, is looking for an experienced Data Analyst for an initial 3 month contract. The University is currently developing an Information Management plan fit for their current and future needs. A key starting point for the plan is a capability review. This review will combine an understanding of the current data sets and a review of all the current capabilities and software tools across operational, MI, BI and analytic spaces. The university is looking for a talented and experienced Data Analyst to develop this capability review, working closely with data and business analysts to collate and understand the data sets and tools, providing a comprehensive review with recommendations that can then inform the Information Management plan.

Person characteristics:

*First-hand industry experience in influencing enterprise wide data analysis or data architecture

*Great interpersonal skills, able to gather information efficiently from business and data stakeholders.

*Excellent written skills, able to verify, summarise and represent findings for senior management.

*Good understanding of industry standard reporting and analytic software tools and models.

*Mindful and aware of future data trends and industry developments
