The Role

It’s an exciting time for Data here at NFU Mutual, we recognise that it’s one of our core strategic assets and key to our future success. With the creation of our Group Data Office we are now embedding the necessary data governance and quality management across our business to ensure this key asset is fit for purpose and its value maximised. We are looking for a Data Quality Analyst to join us on our data journey.

Job Specification

As a Data Quality Analyst you’ll provide insight and analysis of data quality across NFU Mutual enabling the Group to make informed decisions, in line with our long term strategic goals.

Reporting in to the Data Quality Manager, some of your key accountabilities will be to:

- Deliver actionable data quality outcomes through elicitation and then translation of business quality requirements into technical rules and scorecards.

- Influence through our business partnering model the necessary changes to existing process and technical solutions needed to drive data quality improvement.

- Plan and implement data acquisition strategies across multiple systems; then using available technical tools and analytical techniques deliver actionable insight into data quality issues.

- Provide DQ analytical consultancy to IT and Business Teams.

- Build and maintain relationships with internal customers, external suppliers and industry bodies to understand and ensure the delivery of improvements in an ever changing business dynamic.

- Coach, mentor, and guide team members in order to monitor and improve the quality and effectiveness of their work and support their development.

Person Specification

This is an excellent opportunity if you are looking to take the next step in your Data Career, especially if you have proven experience of data-profiling and, ideally Data Quality analysis across the full lifecycle. To be successful in this role it’s key that you will be able to understand business requirements and translate these into technical deliverables. In addition you’ll have experience of SQL (or other similar query or programming languages.
